One Mic is a brand new online talent competition launched on the 4th October.
This talent search is open to the whole nation, all genres, all age groups and contestants can be singers, rappers or performers. This is the new generation of online music talent. The ultimate test in the music game is to be judged by your peers, and a voting system will decide the TOP 1000, who will receive a % of their VOTES as MONEY with 1-100 proceeding to the SHOWDOWN stage where they will AUDITION, CAMPAIGNE and go head to head for the chance to walk away with the first cash prize of £30 000 and the CROWNING of the UK1MIC PRESIDENT. TITLE WILL BE ON THE LINE THE FOLLOWING YEAR.
The music business is a cutthroat industry and artists have to put themselves on the line, and up for judgement. Contestants have the opportunity to put their tracks alongside established artists such as Jay Sean, Fire Camp, Terri Walker, Fundamental & JD Dready (to name a few). www.1-mic.co.uk is a fully interactive website which allows contestants to upload entries, listen to other entries and vote on their favourite tracks. An entrant has a choice to upload their own track or download a 1Mic beat of their choice from the site, record their vocals over it then re-upload it with their details. Online voting will help them keep their position in the top 1000 chart. If their track is doing well they..ll move up the chart.
