The 6th edition of the Nuits sonores festival will take place in Lyon from 7 May 2008 to 11 May 2008. Like every year, the festival will unfold more than 40 places in the city: industrial wastelands, concert venues, clubs, bars, galleries, cinemas or symbolic places of the architectural heritage of Lyon.
Nuits Sonores continues its urban discovery and maintains its priorities: an open and uncompromising programme as well as a high mobility.
This year the Nuits sonores festival will organise events in an industrial wasteland (the former SLI factory in Vaise, built in 1905), at the Charlemagne ice rink (Patinoire Charlemagne), the amphitheatre of the Opéra National of Lyon (Amphithéatre de l’Opéra National de Lyon), the ELAC gardens (jardins de l’ELAC), the Rhône swimming pool (la Piscine du Rhône – the comeback!) and in most of the clubs and concert venues in town (Transbordeur, Marché Gare, Plateforme, Ninkasi …).
Just like every year many acts will be organised in the urban environment (streets, squares…).
Nuits Sonores is a festival dedicated to electronic and independent music trends and cultures. More than 1,000 artists have already performed during the five previous editions (live acts, local and international djs…).
