Last Call Film Fest is a two-day celebration of movies.
www.Last Call Movies.com . Did we mention admission is only five dollars a night?
Last Call Film Fest will be held June 6 and 7, 2008 in Louisville, Kentucky. Our guest will be Kevin Murphy. Mr. Murphy was a writer, actor and voice actor on the historic and Peabody award winning Mystery Science Theater 3000. He has also written a book entitled "A Year at the Movies" and is a commentator for Rifftrax and The Film Crew. The man is a legend, a personal hero of mine and will be speaking the second night of Last Call. Mr. Murphy will speak about working in the industry (inside and out of MST3K), why Hollywood sucks, etc along with a QA session. Mr. Murphy has also said he's looking forward to hanging out and getting to meet fans of cinema. It's going to be a stellar time.
Past years showcased work from across the country including appearances from Cory McAbee (writer/director/star of American Astronaut), Richard Elfman (writer/director of Forbidden Zone) and live music from The Billy Nayer Show (American Astronaut) as well as Lucky Pineapple and Vampire Squid. We screened films from up and comers to films like Call of Cthulhu (an official Sundance selection), Zombie Honeymoon and Soft for Digging.
Most recently Last Call Film Fest received a second award for being Louisville favorite. This year will bring more guests and more good times.
