Derrick Logan was a loner his whole life. Today Derrick lost his job, his girlfriend broke up with him, his car broke down, and his dog just died. Today isn’t his day. Feeling that he has no other choices and can’t go on, Derrick has decided to commit suicide. Well as I said earlier, today isn’t his day. Even his attempt at hanging himself goes bad when the rope breaks. So Derrick decides to jump off a bridge. At the bridge Derrick meets Lori Atkins. Lori comes from an abusive childhood, loveless failed marriage, and her abusive, alcoholic boyfriend just kicked her out. With no money and no where to go Lori has also decided to throw in the towel and jump from the bridge.As the two begin to talk, they realize that they are not alone. They discover that everyone has problems and that sometimes a stranger is a great person to talk to. Derrick and Lori decide to have a last cup of coffee before they kill themselves, at a local diner.Once at the diner they start to talk when another tormented soul robs the diner. Clyde Whitt takes Derrick and Lori hostage. Derrick and Lori must now fight for what a few hours before they were willing to give up. THEIR LIVES. Join Derrick and Lori as they fight to stay alive.
