HiFi Reactor have been thrilling venues and punters around Sydney with their addictive mix of blistering energy, great songs and pure entertainment since early 2006. With driving rhythms, shredding guitars and vocal melodies that will take up permanent residence in your brain, this dedicated group of young men are taking swaggering, danceable Rock/Pop music to the people...and dont they deserve it!
DAVE FRENCH, the charismatic if not slightly confused front man keeps the pace and unpredictability going; wether it's swinging his hips to dance floor faves like "BABY'S ON FIRE" or kicking out the jams to the pulsating closer "RADIO". The rhythm section of SAUL NIGHTINGALE and JUD are seminal to the HFR sound and hit the kind of grooves that make it impossible to stand still. This leaves the necessary room for SHAUN HAY, one of Sydney's great emerging guitar talents to rip his way through each song in his own unique style.
The band recorded their debut Double A-side in June 2006 ("HOLD ON/BABY'S ON FIRE"), and released it to a receptive audience. Available only at shows, the band moved all their initial run of CD's in a short amount of time, to good response. The songs are getting high rotation on Community FM, here & nationwide, having been played on more than 30 stations. The band have also received solid support from FBi radio in Sydney, as a result of their unforgettable live sets and impressive debut recorded work.
After Continually playing shows around the Sydney scene in support of their first recorded effort, the band again returned to the studio with acclaimed Engineer/Producer Anton Hagop in June & July of this year. The results of which the public will see, and hear, very soon on the bands debut EP. With four new songs completed: "25 HITS", "TUESDAY", "LEAN ON MY SHOULDER" & "GLUE", to add to the previous two of "HOLD ON" & "BABY'S ON FIRE" - The EP will see release in the second half on 2007. So keep your eyes and ears peeled!
