Anthony Wayne Pettus --- I am a writer, producer, director who does it on his own, to date, outside the quicksand of the Hollywood system. It will stay that way unless I am allowed complete control over my vision. I started THE IMPETTUS MIND GROUP as an innovative brain trust dedicated to creating exciting and original movies and we promise only the best for our audiences.

My Interests

Science and sense, all else is bunk -- religion, psychics, and all other fairy tales have the burden to prove they are real and not be accepted on face value. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof. Making up stories is my bread and butter but I don't believe them. They are just stories.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone with a vision in a creative field. If you have a talent, I'd like to hear from you. If you have a script or a script idea, I can't use it. I have enough ideas of my own and generate my own screenplays. If you are an investor or producer and want to get in on the swing, let me know and I will contact you privately. This site, however, is not a solicitation, just a shrine for creative vision.

Music:

Karen David hasn't been heard yet in the U.S. but she blows away anybody on American Idol. Unique sound. Check her out.

Movies:

My NEWEST and GREATEST FILM is presently in preproduction. THE IMPETTUS MIND GROUP proudly hails its roster of innovative films. The latest in pre-production is:DARK CLOUD--This will be an action/disaster classic that all others will imitate but none will be as powerful as this one.DARK CLOUD will have hot known stars and introduce many of the next new faces that you will see headlining the biggest feature films. We will have the baddest real fighters and street gangs in the world battling it out with whatever weapons at their disposal with the fate of a quarantined Los Angeles hanging in the balance. You will never see a movie like this one. Tell all your homeys.Check out my past films:MINDBENDERS --My first movie with the newly formed IMPETTUS MIND GROUP was a sci-fi feature titled MINDBENDERS. This film concerned three beautiful wayward girls with special powers trying to survive on the rough streets of Los Angeles while mysterious Men In Black hunt them to bring them back to the strange institute they escaped from. MINDBENDERS premiered at the New York International Film Festival and a trailer was shown for a year advertising the Toronto Online Film Festival and is listed with a review in the imdb.com (under MINDBENDERS 2004). SHADOW HUNTER--The first movie I ever made (period) under the banner FOURTH WORLD FILMS was a sci-fi thriller about a disgruntled private detective who discovers a race of creatures invisible to the naked eye that can only be seen as shadows emerging through a portal from another dimension. This movie was a wild ambitious ride that foretold the great thrills and adventures of filmdom to come.

Television:

Heroes, Prison Break (though I don't know how long they can possibly keep it going), and Future Weapons. Shows I feel have jumped the shark are: the new Battlestar Galactica and Nip Tuck. The Shield is back on my list. Otherwise it's reruns of classics like Star Trek and The Wild, Wild West.

Heroes:

Bruce Lee, Muhammed Ali, Jack Kirby, Bill Walsh, Carl Sagan, skeptics, Akira Kurosawa, Hiroshi Inagaki, Toshiro Mifune, Harry Houdini, Ed Bradley, Godzilla, Ultra Man
