About Me

A few songs fished somewhere out of the Mediterranean spawned the Ballalouda project, a small band which has never stopped growing. A chance encounter with El Señor Ballalouda (literally: "the man who fishes in the sunshine") gave the band their name and also their destiny: to deliver uplifting, hip-shaking grooves and lyricism direct to the hearts and minds of all people, playing shows in London, Paris, Venice and the occasional fishing village.Late in 2006 the band holed up for several months in an underground studio in North London, emerging finally with an album guaranteed to get into your gills. It's really good - but even better is the effect of a live show - and if you want to experience that, you'll have to go and see them play.
