Leisa Johnson of the Dakota Grey Band wrote and recorded a hit dance single entitled Take You Home released in Italy, Germany, and Japan by the House Music Group Kadregha (Zero Meno Records). She later hit the theatre stage and landed a part as a Halo and understudy to the lead in the internationally acclaimed musical Mama I Want to Sing. She traveled to Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and Austria with various gospel touring companies as a lead vocalist. Referenced R&B work for Mariah Carey on Busta Rhymes album It Aint Safe No More.
She performed as a featured vocalist with the Terry Project Ensemble for Ushers New Look performing arts summer camp, and as a featured vocalist with the NY based contemporary gospel group LIV.
She was a featured vocalist accompanying aspiring rap group, Hip Hop Project, for Magic Johnsons' Superbowl Fest in Detroit, MI.
At the Sundance Film Festival in Utah, Leisa took center stage with the Hip Hop Project after their screening for their independent film, executive produced by Bruce Willis.
