StormJewel says: Why is Reading so inbred?

Reading is massively massively inbred

About Me

A note to all the poor denziens of reading (those born and bred) I am not trying to suggest that your mother got it on with her brother or anything so foul as that, I am merely referring to the fact that everyone knows everyone and everyone's business. This had started to trouble me and on a whim I thought I'd join myspace in the hope of meeting some nice new non-readingy people, only to discover that myspace might as well be reading online.

But if you can't beat em join em or something, so i have succumbed to the temptation to exhibit and immerse myself in this world of voyeurism.

ANYWAY.....

Time to blather on inane rubbish about myself...

So, I love travelling and adventure, hence the beautiful beach on my background

I also really love music (what would i do without it?!)

I really like caves and castles and exciting stuff like that, maybe 'm still just a big kid but I love to explore stuff and see mysteries behind things (have blatently read too many kids books in my time!!)
I work selling adventure type holidays, which is all good when they send me off to places like Sri Lanka. Really wanna go travelling again sometime soon. I went travelling to Southern Africa in my gap year and fell in love with it. I really want to go back there but there is a hell of a lot of other places I need to visit as well...So many countries, so little time and money..Any donations welcome.....(well its worth a try!)

I love lots of things other things such as animals especially seals and dogs (watch this space for pictures of my cute doggie Jumble and also my housemates cool pets Donnie and Ozzy, and the fearless Adaro (Addy to his friends!)

My Interests

well like i said: music, adventure, travel, animals, also nature (got to love david attenborough and his docs!) photography, reading, (I'm sure I've got more but that will do for now!!)

I'd like to meet:

Umm Aragorn from Lord of The Rings. Whats that? Oh he doesn't exist you say, hmmm, Viggo Mortensen maybe then?

George Orwell-to praise him for the wonders of 1984-if you aint read it, you should cos its one of the best books ever (I think so anyway!)

nice people who have similar interests to myself

Music:

Far too many to list but here is a few...

On my stereo at the mo is Tool. I also love Bush, Incubus, Pearl Jam, Morcheeba, Chilli Peppers, Soundgarden, Ian Brown, Kaiser Chiefs, Killers, QOTSA, U.N.K.L.E, Feeder and on and on....

Recently been getting to know: The Kooks, We are Scientists, Depeche Mode, The Strokes cos they are all going to be at Benicassim Festival in Spain (the Spanish Glasto apparently) where I'm heading this year since the wonders of Glsto have been denied us this cruel year!!

Love a bit of breakbeat and electronica also, especially when i go out (and anyway there are no good rock nights in Reading--To the DJ at Fez on a monday YOU SUCK, GET SOME NEW TUNES YOU BIG CHEESY CHUNK!). Radioactive man, Meat Katie etc, been getting to know such peeps as Waggon Christ and boards of canada and Autechre to name a few

I really like Ils, drumattic twins and meat katie as well

Movies:

Zoolander!!! Ben Stiller is hilarious, expecially in this film. I'm a fan of funny films in general, Anchor man is also great, go watch it if you need some laughs

on a darker note Fear and Loathing is Las Vegas is wicked

Television:

RED DWARF is prob my fave ever tv show

I love peep show as well, best line ever: This Crack is really moreish

Currently watching a fair bit of scrubs thanks to the wonders of torrents! Mainly just seen the 1st series so far, not sure if it actually just doesn't annoy me but is also very funny and somehow comforting(?)
loving the desperate housewives at the mo, its just too gripping!

Books:

kids books! I love the imagination, take The Faraway tree series by Enid Blyton, so good, I love moonface!!
