I dont care much for anal attitudes in music there every where I go. So fuck it I dont know who released that secret white label with the missing link from the ep produced on reasonable logic an a Tommy toy synth, of the band that signified a genre but never quite did do anything other then piss me right off! So if it moves my feet and I think its got some soul, and by that I'm not talking about Motown. I mean if it strikes a cord with me or if I can identify or relate to it then I like it and I dont give two shits what you call it. But if you want some specifics at the moment Im comlpletly overwekmed by dub step. Vex'd number one bad man, no doubt. listening to a lot of DnB, Pendulum, Mampi Swift and as always Roni Size. Techno, check out the Fuse indetriot not been but the line up was ace and it sounded even better. funk like roger troutman or charles wright or rick james. Stoner metal is always a staple with the likes of Fu Man Chu, Nebula or Kyuss. A bit of cheesy hard rock in the form of Cathedral. A bit more meloncoly and a bussle in your hedge row from down. Ella Fitzgerald, John Lee Hooker and Robert Johnson. Cab Calloway. Hip Hop classics like J5, Gangstar and of course Snoop, Doggy Style, DJ Vadim has court my attention recently and that scratch pervert fabric mix is so bloody good.
Blue Velvet, Easy Rider, Blade Runner, Diliverance, Witch Finder General, Straw Dogs, Slam, Kids, Goodfellas, and to many more to mantion.
I would rather force siring hot rusty pokers into my eye as I walk on a bed of nails covered in TCP during a bout of vicious uncontrollable amebic dysentery, then watch more than an hour of TV. Watch the world around you rather than be sucked in to some one else€™s impression of it. Some stuff on it might be ok but who can be arsed to sift through the shit, Id rather let someone else watch, an then borrow it off them on DVD later. however i reckon the best fing on TV in the last ten years was probably the Sopranos.
"Subway Art" and "Spray Can Art" Henry Chalfont, "The Cat in the Hat" Dr Seuss, "The Fith Elephant" Terry Pratchett, "Ascent of Man" Jacob Bronowski, The "Triumph of the West" J.M.
