Father of 4 wonderful children- (3 girls 1 boy) Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ ************************************************************ **Long Version: Minister, Leader, humanitarian, playwright, conference speaker and musician, Minister Calvin Byron Lamar, Sr. was born December 31,1973 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He was reared by his Grandmother, Prudence Patton Moss, a founding member of the Fort Lauderdale, Church of God of Prophecy and to whom he credits for his own integrity, discipline and self-reliance.From a very young age, he was devoted to the gospel and very active in the Church of God of Prophecy. Under the pastorate of Bishop Leonard N. Robinson, he served as an Usher, Victory Leaders Band leader, Agape Club President, Sunday School Secretary and Assistant Superintendent , Vacation Bible School teacher, musician, and choir director, to name a few.God has blessed Minister Lamar over the years to have been a staff musician for some great ministries in the Ft. Lauderdale area, like Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, The Church of God of Prophecy, St. Luke Baptist Church, The International Prayer Village and the National Church of God.Minister Lamar is currently the Minister of Music for the New Vision Christian Fellowship where he is an active member. He is also a youth director, Assistant Sunday School Superintendent, Adult Sunday School Teacher, Computer Ministries Director, and the Chief Adjutant and Armor Bearer to his Spiritual Father, the Bishop Alfred L. Ferguson. He sits on the Board of Directors for two a non-profit organizations, the New Vision Outreach Ministries of South Florida, Inc. and the Called, Anointed, and Powerful Youth Conference, Inc.Minister Lamar is even a leader in the Business world. He has worked for Wal-Mart Stores, Incorporated, for some 14 years now, all in a management capacity.Byron, as he is affectionately known as, currently resides in the City of Plantation with his wife of 11 years ,Yvette Ferguson Lamar and their 4 children, Ashley, Brittany, Courtney and Calvin Jr.Minister Lamar is internationally recognized and respected by his peers as a dynamic preacher, a world class friend a mentor and a extraordinary young man.
