Experience the anointed, passionate and soulful voice and ministry of Dwain Walters that satisfyingly blesses the ear, heart and soul of every listener. He delivers a competent set of Roots Reggae sprinkled with simmering Dancehall Gospel and more traditional Praise and Worship in the form of impassioned ballads.
Dwain, a Jamaican by birth (Manchester) has had a relentless passion for music since his elementary days and to date, it has been ignited even more. As he recently stated, "Aint no stopping me now; the best is yet to come". There is much to be expected from this committed and passionate young man.
In August 2004, Dwain released his freshman, independent album, Sold out to Jesus. Dwain remains humble and sees this as God’s awesome favor, faithfulness and purpose for him and his ministry with recognition and accomplishments such as an exclusive European marketing & distribution deal from UK based Awake Music Group in 2004 and select tracks from Sold out to Jesus being featured on AMG’s 2005 Soul Food Gospel Reggae series. “Everything†being featured on Reggae Gospel Platinum, a compilation CD released by Canadian based, Changers Records in 2005 and multiple nominations by reputable organizations such as CGMA (USA) and MAJA (Canada) in 2005 and 2006 respectively.
Dwain has encountered multiple obstacles and setbacks over the past year in his quest of completing his sophomore album; however, he believes that “… all things work together for good to them that love the Lord, to them who are called according to His purpose†Romans 8:28. Although a specific timeline has not been determined for the release, he remains passionate and optimistic and continues to write and arrange songs for his upcoming album.
Overall, Dwain remains enthused to share the gospel at every given opportunity and is determined to continually being “Sold Out†to Jesus for life. He continues to minister across the United States and throughout the Caribbean.
