Puritan: someone who holds themself to a higher level of morality and righteousness.
Leper: someone in society who is shunned for any number of reasons, whether spiritual, moral, financial, emotional, personal, etc.
The concept of the Puritan and the Leper is one that seeks to show both sides of life in a yin/yang manner. Every human is capable of such good, and yet, every human is capable of such madness. Every human is able to be praised and every human is able to be an outcast. None of us is immune or exclusive to either. All of these things - good and bad - are within all of us - so let judgment die.
Of Puritans and Lepers - where the fortunate and blessed embrace the outcast and downtrodden...where the joyful and the brokenhearted are one. My hope is that my music somehow resonates this sentiment...
It's all part of the Journey.
