People with fire in their eyes, and a reason to be alive. I like people who get excited about their point of view, people who light up as they talk with an unquestioning passion and a determination that they are in the right.I love it when people shock me with how passionate they are about a subject, be it music, art, anything, when people are pretentious about music (As I have been known) it ruins it. Art (Of all forms) should not be about a collection of knowledge, I would rather talk to someone who has only heard one record in their life, and loves it to the very end of their soul, than converse with some idiot that can recite every record ever made and yet shows no sincerity for liking any of them.Anyone who has seen the future, and believes it to be murder. Other life-addicts, people who like the magnetic fields.Anyone who has met Fidel CastroAnyone with six toes. Anyone who wants to start a travelling freakshow.
I am interested in music, as I have already mentioned. I also like fat people riding bicycles, i find them hilarious, "Will he, won't he?" Champagne socialism is not a misnomer. One can appreciate the finer things and still believe everybody should be entitled to them.I am interested in the old fashioned notions of love and romance, and the fall of such notions over the years. I am pretty much obsessed with the idea of love, though I have no interest in falling in love myself.I am interested in people who dance like nobody's watching, and the notion of art without any influence at all.I am interested in records cut into weird shapes. I like the idea of infinity, and the way the sea in Brighton seems a constant reminder of that (I am aware it is not)I am interested by the ultimate examples of good and evil, should these things exist. I am interested in "The Asch Conformity Experiment" "The Milgram Experiment" and "The Stanford prison Experiment" and what we have to learn from them.I am interested at what point will my liver collapse.Does it make you a bigger music fan just because you have time to list every band you've ever heard of? I will not play along.Anyway, suffice to say I mainly like Folk, Country, rock and Jazz. But i will listen to any kind of music and if it has value i will find it.Interesting this page thing. It is an opportunity to give someone an edited summary of who they want to be. Myself included.Films can be fun, but they take up quite a lot of time, so I tend to avoid them. I recently saw "Hors a Prix" with Audrey Tatou, it was excellent.Books are great. But I fear discussing my tastes will uncover me as the pretentious intellect I am. Ha! Either that or reveal me to be deeply inferior. Why would I wish to do either? To discuss such a powerful subject in such a short section would not do it justice anyway, in the words of Jean Paul Sartre:"If literature isn't everything, it's not worth a single hour of someone's trouble."
