I am a Presbyterian minister and am in the process of becoming a licensed therapist. I graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a masters in counseling on 12/16 and will hopefully be licensed as a counselor in January 07. I really like my friends and chatting with them. I love to read and am always open to suggestions of really good books. I like being outside, and really love my home in the country. My husband and I enjoy long walks together and occasionally we take a hike in the beautiful mountains of Arkansas. Our last hike was Mount Nebo last fall. It was an incredibly beautiful day ... We have a huge garden, and I really enjoy planting flowers, and growing vegetables and doing all that June Cleaver domestic stuff ... when I have time, which is sometime rare ... but that's me

My Interests

Reading, going for long walks, running (not so much recently), being outside, chatting with friends, hanging out with Randy (my spouse)...

I'd like to meet:

Mmmm ... who would I like to meet? That's tough ... maybe Pat Conroy (one of my favorite authors), Sylvia Plath, St. Theresa of Avila, Hildegaard of Bingen ... I don't really like this question. I don't really have a list of people I am just "dying" to meet. Is that weird?

Music:

I like a little bit of everything ... I like Nancy Griffith, Nickel Creek, Uncle Tupelo (folk singer types), Indigo Girls, Dixie Chicks, Ginny Owens, Pink, Shawn Colvin, REM, U2 (the older stuff), classic rock ... the list goes on and on ... but I guess those are my top favorites.

Movies:

What Dreams May Come, The Spitfire Grill, A River Runs Through It, St. Elmo's Fire, Bruce Almighty, Chariots of Fire, 8 Mile (Believe it or not!)

Television:

MEDIUM!!! (I love that show) ER, Law and Order (all of them), CSI (most of them), Gray's Anatomy and Without a Trace ... I also really like Six Feet Under ...which is no longer on, so I watch the old episodes over and over on DVD ...Lately, I have gotten into the Biggest Loser. I find it inspiring in a wierd sort of way ...

Books:

Anything by Diana Gabaldon _ my new favorite author (Thanks Amy!) ... I like all kinds of books. I like Janet Evanovich's books ... I just finished "Leaving Church" which was an incredibly meaningful read (Thanks Amy, again) I have a lot of books in my To Be Read (TBR)list, or my book lust journal (another thank you to Amy)

Heroes:

Anyone who can survive really tough stuff, and become a better person because of it ... Honest people, who have the b**** to tell the truth!
