Major Parkinson is a genuine concept of alternative pop/rock. The music is basically agony and love all together boiled down to its most energetic form. Throughout the lyrics we follow Major Parkinson's twisted observations of his own reality. Family tragedies, sex, murder, agony and love is told through a catchy mixture of blues, punk, rock, pop, disco and feelgood rhythm. Listen and get caught!
The band has made a 4 track demo, and has also made a music video for one of the tracks, "Death In The Candy Store".In April 2006 the band recieved an e-mail from well known record producer Sylvia Massy Shivy (she has previously worked with artists like System Of A Down, Tool, Johnny Cash, Cog etc.), stating that Major Parkinson was her new favorite band, and that she wanted to produce the band's debut record. So, in June 2006, Major Parkinson travelled to Weed, California and started the recording of their upcoming debut album at Radiostar Studios, and it is expected to be released in 2007.In addition to playing numerous concerts around in Norway, here are the most important things that Major Parkinson has achieved:
