So, other than my obsession with football, I really enjoy photography. I always have my camera on me because you never know when there is going to be a Kodak moment. I love my digital camera because it has a video function, but I am also kinda old school because I still love using my Canon AE-1. There is just something about the smell of film and the manual focus that does something for me! I used to work for United Airlines and loved traveling around the world for free! My favorite places I visited family and friends were: Boise, Chicago, Fort Lauderdale, Japan, New York, Orlando and Tampa. I also enjoy learning sign language, playing piano and spending time with my family and friends, all while keeping my eyes open for Mr. Right. By the way, if you meet him, introduce him to me, will you? Thanks! :)
People who inspire me: Oprah, Dr. Phil, Maya Angelou, Dr. Catherine Hamlin, Barack Obama, Lisa Ling, Maria Shriver, Dr. Robin Smith, Anne Geddes, Ann Curry, Tony Dungy, Lenny Kravitz and Harry Connick Jr. People who entertain me: Cato June, Jalen Rose, Don Cheadle, George Clooney, Denzel Washington, Will Smith, Sandra Bullock, Julia Roberts, Thandie Newton and Chris Rock.
powered by frazy.comI most often attend the concerts of two of my favorite people: my cousin, Kedrick and one of the best friends anyone could ask for, Jefford. Ked is the Pastor of Student Ministries at our church. (Let me know if you would like more information about a concert or purchasing cds.) Ked has such an amazing voice; I cannot wait for him to sing at my wedding someday (whenever that may be)! If you live near me, you have probably heard him sing at a wedding. The other person you just have to hear is Jefford. He lives in Chicago and is a multi-talented man, to say the least. His stage name is SolAce. He is so unique to me because he not only writes his own lyrics, but also his music. He plays multiple instruments. SolAce mixes and produces his tracks as well. On top of all of this, the man can dance! Oh, did I mention he is a model and actor too?!? I just cannot say enough about him. I am so blessed to have him in my life! Please go check out his website @ www.soulofsolace.comMY ALL TIME FAVORITE VIDEO: IT'S PINK'S "DEAR MR. PRESIDENT" (It empowers me and makes me sick, sad and angry all at the same time...it just hits me on so many emotional levels.)

I rarely ever go to the movie theatre. I guess most of the time I do not feel like spending the money unless I know I am going to LOVE it, so I will wait until it comes out on DVD. The other thing is, you cannot talk when you are there...I want to talk to the people I am going out with! (Especially if it is a date…I never do movies on first dates...ugh, boring and so UNORIGINAL!) My friends and I have a running joke about movies, because we have such different tastes. They love all those movies with Hilary Duff, Lindsey Lohan, etc. I enjoy seeing documentaries and ones based on true stories, where I can walk away feeling I’ve learned a life lesson...or at least something about this crazy world we live in. Although I would prefer to watch something that will stimulate my mind and is socially conscious, I also have a wide range in my collection. You'll see the romantic comedies, the sports movies, the thrillers, etc. So, with that said, these are my all-time favorites:

I hate to say I have turned into a reality TV junkie. Most of the time I end up taping everything and watch it so I can fast forward through the commercials. (At least I know I end up cutting out a third of an hour!) My favorites are: ANTM, Amazing Race, American Idol, American Inventor, CNN, CSI & CSI: NY, Dateline NBC, Dr. Phil, ER, ESPN, Oprah, Project Runway and The Today Show.

Personally, I would have to say my Mom because she has put up with a lot in her life and she is really strong. When I was young, I used to be embarrassed by how old my Mom was. I never thought I was anything like her. The older I get, the more I realize I am exactly like her. I hope to be a great a Mom as she! Also, my cousin, Lyne.. and my Aunt Kay. They both were faced with raising their children on their own. I have so much admiration for them in how much courage and grace they have in dealing with such a life-altering situation. Watching them helped me when I went through a time in my life where a man I was dating took advantage of me. I do not know if I would have gotten through it, without having seen how their lives have turned out...and how they raised such wonderful children (and grandchildren!). Last, but not least, is my little cousin Brady. He is in Iraq, on the frontlines. I pray for him all the time; that he'll come back to his family safe.
