About Me

Japanese soprano Yoko Nagoya was born in Tokyo. Ms. Nagoya started to study singing with Maestro Sakuzo Takada, Japanese tenor who had studied with famous Maestro Arrigo Pola in Italy. Ms. Nagoya is a graduate of the Toho Music College in Tokyo majoring in classical singing. While at the college, Ms. Nagoya started to perform in various concerts and operas in Japan. In 2001 Ms. Nagoya has settled in Italy, at first in Naples, her favorite beautiful city, then has moved in Milan and has been studying the "Belcanto" vocal technique with Maestra Lina Vasta(Italian soprano). Ms. Nagoya's repertoire: Mimi'("La Boheme"), Liu'("Turandot"), Butterfly ("Madame Butterfly"), Angelica("Sour Angelica"), Lauretta("Gianni Schicchi") by Puccini, Suzel("L'amico Fritz"), Santuzza("Cavalleria Rusticana") by Mascagni, Nedda("I Pagliacci") by Leoncavallo, Micaela("Carmen") by Bizet, "Missa in C KV317(Kroenungs-Messe)", "Requiem KV626" by Mozart, "Messa di Requiem" by Donizetti, "9. Symphonie op125, An Die Freude" by Beethoven. Besides these classic music repertoire, Ms. Nagoya loves traditional neapolitan songs like "Passione" "I' te vurria vasa", "Core 'ngrato", "'Na sera 'e maggio", "Chiove" etc...
