A Dog Waits
A dog sits waiting in the cold autumn sun, Too faithful to leave,too frightened to run. He's been here for days,now, with nothing to do But sit by the road waiting for you, He can't understand why you left him that day. He thought you and he were stopping to play, He's sure you'll come back, and that's why he stays. How long will he suffer, how many more days? His legs have grown weak,his throat is parched and dry. He's sick now from hunger, and falls with a sigh, He lays down his head and closes his eyes. I wish you could see how a waiting dog dies.
I'm married with 2 little girls - Robyn is 13 and Delphine is 4. We have 7 cats who are slowly driving me insane. I used to be interesting and fun, once upon a time. As you can see, I am interested in animal rescue and welfare. I don't know why this thing is saying I'm 33...I'm only 28. 28 and holding...

The Christmas Kitten
I once was a cuddly kitten, But now I am a stray, 'Cause when I was no longer fluffy, They sent me on my way.
They've kept their big watchdog, As he can bark and growl, But I could fly at strangers, If I caught them on the prowl.
I slink around their garbage can; I mew outside their door; But it's clear from their behaviour, They don't want me anymore.
Now I'm cold and hungry, And getting very thin, What have I done to hurt them, Why won't they let me in?
I crouch in sheds and boxes, In my bedraggle fur, So shivery and dejected, I cannot even purr.
They have another kitten, Their children's whole delight; But probably next Christmas, It will share my wretched plight.

I like lots of different kinds of music, it all just depends on the song/singer. Tim McGraw, Brooks and Dunn, Lonestar, 50 Cent, Bad Company, Journey, Terri Clark, Martina McBride, Dolly Parton, Alizee, Sugababes, Edith Piaf, Anne Murray, Barbara Mandrell, Live, REO Speedwagon, Air Supply, Acda en de Munnik, Marco Borsato, K3, Missy Elliot, Linkin Park, Fort Minor etc.

Movies:

We watch so many movies, I don't even know anymore. I don't like anything scary or jumpy though. A couple favourites: Gone with the Wind, Steel Magnolias, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Charade, Legally Blonde, the Bourne movies, LOTR, The Color Purple, Babette's Feast, The Snapper, Talladega Nights, Gaslight.

Television:

I don't watch a whole lot of tv anymore. I like home improvement/decorating, cooking, and real crime shows. I also love CSI and Law & Order. Creepy Vincent D'Onofrio is sexxxy. There are a couple sitcoms I like - Will and Grace, King of Queens, Kath and Kim, and Friends. Oh, and SATC, of course. I also like those treasure hunting shows where they explore shipwrecks. However, the all-time best is Absolutely Fabulous.

Books:

All the Harry Potter books, Gone with the Wind, anything by Dorothy Gilman, Janet Evanovich or Sue Grafton, trashy romances (Loveswept, Harlequin, etc.), crime/thriller books (but I get all freaked out and can't sleep after I read one). I love Hercule Poirot (and the movies, David Suchet is the best), and all Agatha Christie. Anything by my friend, Jon Konrath.

Heroes:

My cat Hamish. Animal welfare workers and rescuers.

No more lonely cold nights, or hearing that I'm bad. No more growling belly from the meals I never had. No more scorching sunshine with a water bowl that's dry. No more complaining neighbors about the noise when I cry. No more hearing "shut up", "get down" or "get out of here!" No more feeling disliked, only peace is in the air. Euthanasia is a blessing, though some still can't see, Why I was ever born if I weren't meant to be. My last day of living was the best I ever had. Someone held me very close, I could see she was very sad. I kissed the lady's face, and she hugged me as she cried.
