SQUARE DEAL MUSIC- “Its Not The Card Your Dealt But How You Play Itâ€SQUARE DEAL STUDIOSProtools HD 3 /Nueman U87/ M-5 AVALON PRE/Universal 1176Raw, dynamic, and determined are just a few words to describe Eye-N-See. Through their ambition, drive, knowledge, and life experiences Eye-N-See have proven to be a force of Hip Hop on the streets of New York and known to bring something new to the game, other than the recent bling bling flashy cliché lyrics. In an era desperate for truth, knowledge, and good music Eye N See is the answer people are waiting for. Unlike the usual lyrics out on the streets Eye N See form a group that has taken their personal trials and tribulations as the motivation for their music.Eye-N-See came together in Corona, Queens, as young men who bonded through music and hardship. Eye Rule and C-True, both the core and strength of Eye-N-See, are prodigies of the Golden Era of hip hop, also known as the new school. They met in 1993, and through their passion for Rap music they became the group known as Eye-N-See. Eye Rule was influenced by the greats of the golden era such as Kool G Rap, Nas, Blackmoon, and the Wu-Tang Clan. and so he developed a raw and a multi syllable rhyme style. C-True remembers Big Daddy Kane as one of the biggest influences along with Pete Rock, Tribe Called Quest, and Native Tongues. Eye-N-See learned from and emulated what are considered legends in Hip Hop today. As most rappers nowadays imitate the guns and flashy lifestyle, Eye-N-See took on the challenge of not following that cookie cutter hip hop and kept their raw, new school style current with today’s sound. Eye-N-See is true to the words and wisdom of their music and is considered a force in the hip hop scene. In a quest to keep the music they love alive through the fundamentals of hip hop, real life and the art of story telling, Eye Rule and C-True share their words of wisdom through their songs.Eye Rule also known as Logik, knows better than anyone that life is not a walk in the park. Having dealt with a drug problem for over a decade, Eye Rule used music to defeat his addiction to cocaine. Growing up he realized that he was easily influenced and he was becoming self destructive. Through his music and writing he learned it was cool to be smart and found something to derive him from that life. He struggled with himself to become a better person and develop as an artist. Having gone through those difficult times, Eye Rule was able to find himself as a person and lyricist. At the lowest point in his life, Eye Rule wrote a song called “Time†that described who he wanted to be, and now he can honestly say he is a lot closer to becoming that person. Eye Rule maintains a positive outlook, and says he would not change anything from his past because it has made him who he is and continues to evolve into as an artist. Eye Rule is not a gangster rapper but he is no stranger to life in the streets. Through his raw and dynamic lyrics he shares his life, triumphs and failures, and has become a rapper that mirrors the art of life and struggle through hip hop.C-True is considered to be a rappers rapper. C-True is not only a skilled writer but also is known to carry out a unique style of Hip Hop. Growing up and watching guys his own age and older live the life of high rollers, C-True has done things he is not proud of to make ends meet. But through the struggle and hustle he discovered his passion for music. Believing that music was the answer to a better life, he turned things around for himself. Now that he had the tools for success in his mind he had to deal with domestic violence at home. Growing up he used his music to escape his situation with domestic violence. Through all that noise C-True found himself as a writer and he wrote a song called “Words†which he considers to this day highlights some of his best work. “Words†is a song that showcases his talent, vision and what he is destined for.Through the years they have developed into music artist and are ready to take it to the next level. Currently Eye-N-See is signed to Square Deal Productions, a production company that was built by childhood friends, dedicated to producing quality music and developing tomorrow’s Hip Hop. Sergio Parra, CEO of Square Deal Productions, is excited to release a young talented group who he believes is a breath of fresh air to the game. Eye-N-See’s career will continue to rise and is sure to ignite a thirst for their music.Dax Medina was born in New York and raised between Texas and the Bronx, two cities that have made him who he is. Dax moved from Texas back to The Bronx at the young age of 13 where he was quickly drawn to a street life that would shape the next few years to come. In Texas Dax Medina experienced a hard life of physical abuse by his step father and discovered that writing was his escape into a new world, a world that would save his life in the future. Dax also experienced the life of a hustler and took those roots back to New York with him. While his peers in New York were into Big Daddy Kane he immersed into the west coast Hip Hop and became influenced by the gangster life and lyrics of NWA, Ghetto Boys, and Easy-E. Dax Medina’s trafficking street smarts, past hustling ways and personal story have shaped his music today. When Dax Medina moved back to The Bronx he found a new hustle to make money. He began hustling and realized he was making easy money and began to focus on the hustle that maintained him. Dax still needed a way to let go of the anger he now felt for his father for letting him go so he continued to write. At the age of 16 Dax began to record and with his unique authentic mix of southern and east coast sounds, two friends and himself who had formed a group, were offered a deal from Jive/Zomba. The Label only wanted two of the three members and because of Dax’s loyalty he passed on the deal. Dax would have more opportunities to come. Through the hustle of selling and trafficking he gained a code of life that includes the traits that have helped his music such as loyalty and hard work. His music has a raw Gangster Rap feel and he knows that it’s not something always positive to promote but it’s the life he’s lived and it’s real.Dax Medina had begun to live a fast gangster lifestyle and was heading straight towards the end very soon, and although he had continued to do music it wasn’t as lucrative as his hustle. After years of living the hustling life the Feds caught up to him and Dax was charged for trafficking of cocaine and fire-arms. He Realized that what he had been living was over and now he had to find his way back. Sure enough music kept him sane while in prison and gave him hope to have a second chance. Before heading to prison Dax Medina would have more opportunities, once more he had the chance to sign with Universal Records because of a song they heard called “The Street†but as they found out he was on trial they decided they could not take that risk. He would also meet a music associate who would become family. Dax met Sergio Parra, CEO of Square Deal Productions, who encouraged him to continue his music and visited every month while in prison. Dax Medina began to develop as writer and lyricist in prison who was determined to follow the dream of music. Dax Medina was released in 2006 and has been focused on music ever since.Dax Medina has an uncut, raw and real truth to his music and aside from the hardcore image he does have a soft side ignited by his 3 kids. He has a song called “Someway Somehow,†that he considers his timeless song it describes his proclamation of that way he wished things would be. Dax Medina’s ability to identify with the southern culture and east coast appeal gives him the unique sound needed in today’s industry. Dax Medina is an artist not looking to recreate the wheel but to let people know the truth about life. Currently Dax Medina is signed to Square Deal Music and is looking to spread his sound. After all his hardship Dax Medina has made a lot of noise and has become the most unknown known rapper in the game.
