Biography:

With a natural gift and a passion for writing and performing music, Lance Carsello, also known as “Dilema”, has entered into the film and rock world by storm. He aims to become the voice for young America, as he incorporates his background and life experiences into his music and films. A multi-cultural background of Italian, Hispanic and African-American descent results in having an understanding of mixed relationships and diverse backgrounds of different people and this has helped him to create a realistic and distinctive writing style. “I use my past experiences in life to create stories that will make a difference and have a positive influence for young America.”

Carsello was born in the Bronx, New York. At the age of eleven he moved to Texas with his mother. In 1993 he began his career as a songwriter with EMI Music Publishing in NYC. After several years he realized the need to pursue his career as an artist in music and film. Carsello felt that the true meaning of his music was lost when performed by other musicians and believed that he was the only one who could express the real emotion contained within his lyrics. Later on, he decided to combine his love for songwriting and turn his numerous song ideas into screenplays.

Carsello sorted through his song catalogs to find lyrics based on his favorite subject – relationships - and developed these ideas into a screenplay format. As a result, “That Depends on You” was born.
