At 6"3 220 pounds Actor,Film/TV Producer, Fitness Model & Talent Manager,and one of the most legendary nightclub event promoters in North America Derrick Ling who is known worldwide in the entertainment industry as DTeflon was born in Bayshore Long Island New York & grew up in Toronto Canada, now currently residing in South Florida & PT in Los Angeles California working between the 2 cities & also still owns residental property in Toronto where he still travels at least 3 times per month when not touring to handle buisness affairs & to visit his friends & family.
DTeflon has appeared in various Hollywood films & tv projects & is considered by many of his peers & clients to be one of Hollywood's Top Celebrity Bodyguards as he has protected & worked with some of the biggest names in the film & music industry.
His parents who have been together for over 35yrs who are originally from from Trinidad and Tobago mixed with Chinese decent which makes him American Trini Chinese..thats right people he is part chinese but remember ladies chinese from the waist up...lol moved from Trinidad for a better way of life to New York City in the 70's then moved to Toronto Canada in the late 80's where DTeflon first was living his long life passion to become a professional baseball player winning various awards and was well on his way to a scholarship but in the off season was seriously injured playing football & broke several bones in his wrist and then coming back his first year after the injury was struck in the face with a fastball that eventually ended his playing career..He then pursued a career professionally in music which he did for 12yrs before being introduced to the entertainment scene in 96 when he got his first taste of the biz working as an assistant at a local radio station.
