Hello.
I'm Alex, or Mamba as most friends call me. I finally moved out of my parents place last year and bought myself a flat in the big smoke of Newbury, which to most people probably doesn't sound very exciting but I'm from a tiny village. Newbury's got a train station and pubs and everything!
I work for a financial adviser (sound boring? It is!). One day I will have a more rock n roll job. Unfortunately, rock n roll doesn't pay as well.
Most of my interests revolve around music. I've played piano since I was a nipper, but don't play as much as I should. I've got a bit rubbish! I am now an aspiring drummer and bought myself an electric kit a few months back. Haven't had any complaints from the neighbours yet!
I try to go to as many gigs as I can. Going to Roadburn Festival in Holland in April (yay!) and hopefully Download if anyone will come with me.
I've tried my hand at promoting gigs. Only done one so far (Truckfighters - see blog), which didn't go particularly smoothly but was good fun. I'll hopefully do some more in the future.
As far as sport goes, I don't do or watch much any more but I do play cricket for the mighty East Garston CC.
Apart from that I enjoy hanging with my most excellent mates, some of who can be found below.
