Barksdale A.K.A Mr.23

The Brooklyn native Barksdale brings a heavy approach to the music world. His warm yet very aggressive unique voice, along with his unorthodox word play sets him aside from the other rappers that are out. His rhymes are an assortment of good substance which includes hard times, the ups and downs of the street life, and an all-around down to earth real dude that most of Urban-America would be able to relate to. A true fan of the hip-hop and r&b culture, Barksdale dedicates his time and energy into the music, trying to emulate the traditional, but contemporary sound that has been missed so much, especially in the New York area. Throughout the years, Barksdale has not only nurtured his rap skills, but has also transcended into becoming an executive in trying to get unsigned artists heard by the people in their surroundings and build themselves a fan base.
