About Me


Edurne was born in Madrid (Spain) in 1985. She's a well known singer who participated in the 4th edition of the famous music TV show "Operación Triunfo" (2005), where she achieved a magnificent 6th position. In 2006 she released her first solo album, called "Edurne", and "Despierta" ("Wake Up") was launched as her 1st single.
Her album sold 50.000 copies and it directly entered the charts of the best selling albums in Spain on number 3.
Edurne also got to sing together with Swedish singer Cameron Cartio a song called “Don’t tell me tonight” which is included on Cameron’s album.
In the summer of 2006 she starred a TV commercial for popular hair brand ‘Herbal Essense’, and also recorded a new song, "Te Falta Veneno" ("There’s no poison in you") for the re-edition of her album.
Her first single was "Despierta" ("Wake Up"), and it caught on very well. Her second single, "Amores Dormidos" ("Sleeping-love") was written by the Spanish popular band La Oreja de van Gogh, to be followed by "Te Falta Veneno" ("There’s no poison in you"), which came out as the main soundtrack of the Spanish version of Colombian TV soap "Betty La Fea": "Yo Soy Bea".
Edurne's second album was entitled "Ilusión", and it was launched on June 19th. The first single of the album was "Ven por mi". The album reached an outstanding 11 position on the official iTunes album’s chart and it also made it to number 13 in the Spanish top charts. The second single out of “Ilusión” was a beautiful ballad called “Fue para los dos”
Edurne has been working for an entire year in one of the most successful musical shows in Spain, ‘GREASE’, playing the leading role of Sandy. The success obtained in cities such as Barcelona has been overwhelming and the show goes on now across the country.
It is because of her success in musicals , that a 3rd album has recently been recorded. The release-date is June the 4th and on this album Edurne pays homage to the most successful musicals in history. Her first single will be “Un poco de amor” from Queen’s musical “We Will Rock You”
At the beginning of next year, a new album with original songs will see the light of day. An album in which Edurne is currently working on in both writing music and lyrics.

Edurne ya se encuentra mejor, recuperándose poco a poco de la dolencia que le ha apartado estos días de Grease. No es nada grave, así que no hay por qué preocuparse, pero sí lleva unos días para curar...
