BIOGRAPHY:
So, want the skinny on Mister Kite? Just ask... We love dirty, filthy rock'n'roll, thumping bass lines, fat drum beats, rhythmic guitar jangles, off-key lyrics and ourselves. Yes, we like to enjoy ourselves and are enthusiastic about our passions, we're not backwards in coming forwards and we're not afraid of looking stupid or looking pretty damn good either... one thing we are not is mediocre!
We began as a four piece indie rock band (Alex, Dave, Paul and Tim) who got together one night whilst sitting around the house pondering over a cup of tea, a smoke and a love of all things British. After a few tweaks, the inclusion of a talented local vocalist and a steady stream of writing, recording and gigging around Reading and London we decided we were more than ready to enhance the band even further and bring it slap bang up to date as a five piece with the fresh new vocal stylings and influences of our lead singer, Drew. So, there you have it, with everything falling into place its now time to make you (yes, YOU!) sit up and take notice, from the indie kid who will want to dance like a dickhead to the heavy weight skinhead and the shy girl whose sister went to your school. Effusive, colourful, spasmodic, upbeat, post-punk garage guitar outbursts, fresh with glee... Mister Kite aren't just the usual British indie rock fare...
