I am working for a brand new record label, 'Starfisch Records', who are launching a brand new artist, 'Karen Louise' this summer. My husband has co-written her album with her and I co-wrote 3 of the songs and sang backing vocals for 11 out of the 12 tracks, plus I arranged the strings. There have been some great producers, including Tommy D and Prince Sampson. The mix engineers have been incredible - they include Ash Howes, Andy Bradfield, Jeremy Wheatly and Adrian Bushby. It doesn't get much more exciting than this. Obviously it's early days, but when you believe in something and pour your heart and soul into it, something wonderful is bound to come out of it... Everyone in this company is amazing... the whole team. Watch this space for the future! I regualrly book singers for session work, (backing vocals in particular) and string players for pop tracks and live work. I do a huge amount of vocal coaching; one on one private tuition. I regularly coach actors who have big auditions coming up. I specialise in teaching harmonies; recognising the chords, hearing the harmonic movement, etc. I have also done some string arranging for a new singer, Dee Anderson, whose album will be realeased very soon. I studied music at Manchester for 3 years and Graduated with a 1st! Totally unexpected seeing as I didn't do so well at GCSEs or A Levels, but hey, that's where my amazing boyfriend at the time clearly inspired me to excel in music! I am now married to him and we have a little boy called Joshua.
