About Me
Born in Whitstable, Kent 1985. I was brought up listening to Trojan Reggae box sets from my mum and bands like The Clash and Dr John the night tripper from my dad. I started listening to Drum and Bass in 2001, buying the first Accelerated Culture tape pack and collecting it till pack 19. Me and my mates would MC over the gaps on the tapes through an old-school Kenwood karaoke machine. I bought my turntables in 2003 whilst working as a chef in Covent Garden, motivated by the Valve system at The End and True Playaz at Fabric. I had the luxury of working a reasonable distance from Blackmarket Records in Soho which would supply me with all my ammunition. I got my first gig in Whitstable at New Year 2003 with Subway Sounds. Big ups to Sub One (Del Marshall, the guru), Suspence (Gavin Spencer, DnB madman) Dj Jump (Marc Croucher, breakbeat king) and Butterphingaz (Geoff, scratch demon). From then I went on to play at The Fountain, KIAD bar, Back to Black, Alberrys, Inigo bar, Tea and Times as well as private house and birthday parties. In April 2006 I started my first internet radio show with Heidi-Ice (the mother of DnB) at DrumandBassWorldwide. Big up Split, Albie One, Chris Dub, Sgt Silx, Rizlablu, Keeno, Clarkson, Choppah, MC AT, Nology, Rips, Captain, Illmatika and all the crew i haven't mentioned for making us feel welcome. In July me and Heidi-Ice moved to aftershockradio.com keeping the Tuesday 4-6 slot. Big up Mitten, Proline, Silk Cut and Miss Represent.I'm now doing a radio show via Myspace.com/heidiicelive still on the 4-6 slot fortnightly.
