About Me

We still believe that band infos are not that punk, so once again we'll try to be very brief:The SUGARBOMBS were formed under a different name in 1996. There were a lot of line-up changes. The current line-up played its first gig in late 2005. In the beginning the SUGARBOMBS were a rather crappy band, and actually we haven't improved very much since then. At least we learned how to show off on stage a little. If you need a label for our music, it's punkrock with a couple of Hardcore and Rock N Roll influences. We like melodies, we like screams, we love to rock. As for the lyrics, most of them are about social/political issues, often from a rather personal point of view. Although the SUGARBOMBS are not "political" in the classic sense of the word, we just couldn't bring ourselves to sing stuff like "drinking beer in the sun is so much fun" or "I like your girlfriend cause she's got massive knockers". Alright... some band members do political work, some don't, everyone has got ideas and opinions of his own which are not always compatible with those of the others. However, when it comes to things like racism, capitalism or war (or nu metal) all of us share similar thoughts and agree that a different world order is certainly needed. After all we're a punkrock band, what did you expect?

Day 2 at the studio.

Finished the drum tracks. Started recording rythm guitars. Gave up the idea of releasing a country version of "Train" (because we're not a country band). Celebrated our producer's metal screams. Tried...
