Katze Platten

Hi people.
We are Katze Platten, a small DIY label from Cologne, Germany. It is just three friends, Mona, Hans and Litz who got to know each other in the past few years and shared (still share) a huge interest in music and astonishing hardly unknown bands, which they wanted to be pushed. So we started releasing records, CD(-R)s, tapes of bands from anywhere - we just gotta like it and we do NOT want any nazi shit. Mainly we concentrate on guitar music, which can be punk, HC, indie, singer/songwriter, but we would also release sum hip-hop trash of sum friend of ours or do an audio-book. Whatever... if we love it, we do it.
But we are not only a label and release stuff, we also do promotion, booking, distribution for other DIY labels. Katze Platten can be seen as a platform of friends who got fun working together on music.
Every once in a while we do a 90-minute tape compilation and we are always looking for good bands and solo-artists to put a song on there. What the artists get is a free master and the cover to do own tapes and spread them in their area.
So we are always happy to get and keep in touch with people sharing our ideals and thoughts, to trade releases with other DIY labels and to bring you cheap, awesome, handmade music.
