More global marathon running stuff is on the way. I'm working up some blog ideas and will start soon, but have been busy meeting a lot of interesting people here on Myspace. So, I hope you enjoy the small slideshow of my 2005 trip to the Antarctica and Fin del Mundo (Ushuaia, Arg) marathons. I also play on a men's over 30 soccer team called "Defense Rules". Cheers, Jim!
I joined up with MySpace to find others that want to see the world one step at a time. I'm here to show off some things I saw along my way and you're willing to show off some things you saw along your way. Marathon runners/walkers - endurance athletes - not-so-enduranced-athletes (is "enduranced" a word?) creative types - explorers - artists - freaks - musicians - foodies - you! Oh, if Kristin Davis wanted to meet for coffee, I'd find a way to free up a few hours or so.
Too much to list. I go through rotations with what I'm listenting to.
After 12 1/2 hours, Ginny Turner, an accomplished marathoner and friend, finish the 2006 North Pole Marathon together. It was worth every cold step.

I read a lot of expedition journals. Shackleton's journals were my favorite and Worsley's pulled the whole story together without all the clinical stuff that comes from expedition journals. "Alone" by Admiral Byrd and Douglas Mawson's "Home of the Blizzard" were excellent too. "The Ghosts of Cape Sabine" was right up there.
