About Me

I live in Fairbanks. I'm too opinionated. I wear my politics on my sleeve, which sometimes gets me into trouble. I like writing. I want to be a screenwriter.

My Interests

"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children. This is not a way of life at all in any true sense. Under the clouds of war, it is humanity hanging on a cross of iron." - Dwight Eisenhower

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who creates (e.g., art, buildings, noise, life, etc.). And anyone who is a flip-flopper. I believe the brightest minds on Earth are those that can be changed... except for you, Mitt Romney.

Great music video.

The Skull Fucking bill of 2007. Very funny.

Movies:

Television:

Heroes. 'Nuff said.

Books:

Gosh, the last book I read was a William Shatner "Star Trek" novel and that was years ago. I have since developed a lack of patience and a limited attention span that make reading books all the way through next to impossible.

Heroes:

My Grandmother (rest her soul) first and foremost. Robert Kennedy would have to come next. Both of those people are the most courageous individuals I believe to have ever existed. Plus, just about every teacher I've ever had, even the assholes.

My Blog

Robert Kennedy

40 years ago this June, Senator Robert Kennedy won the California primary, a crucial contest in his race for the Democratic nomination for President.  His campaign had sprung from discontent with...

Correspondence with a UAF Obama supporter.

Firstly, I won’t disclose the name of this individual, I will only say that said individual was a very vocal, impassioned person who loves their country, America, and with whom I shared an inter...

Clinton, save us from McCain. Drop out.

It's been a good fight.  A long fight.  The general election is looming just seven months away.  If Clinton drops out now, that will give the Democratic nominee, Barack Obama, ample yet...

Where was Hillary Clinton when we needed her?

5 years ago, we had a chance to catch Osama bin Laden in Afghanistan.  Soon afterward Bush said he didn't "really think about him that much".  Lending credence to this comment was our invasi...

My final word on Obama before Iowa.

Ha, as if my word means something.  But I would like to clarify where I stand with the man.  The last I spoke of him was about my distain for his handling (or lack there of) of the Jena 6 si...

Barack blew it.

In Jena, Louisiana today, thousands upon thousands of protesters converged to demonstrate against the unjustly harsh charges against six black high school students, who assaulted a white classma...

My Pitch for Gay Duck Rights...

I wrote this as a poem to a friend, but I think if some of the words were changed, the conservative members of Congress would grasp its meaning, and gay marriage would be a guaranteed thing. "Sarah, S...

I have my answer, what is yours?

Many of you may have noticed that I have some major problems with Hillary Clinton.  It wasn't always that way.  After Kerry lost in 2004, I said, "Well, at least in 2008 we'll have Hillary."...

My family and I.

As far back as I can remember, I've been surrounded by addicts.  My mom, my uncles, my sister, my cousins.  I grew up amid drunken fights, drug-induced breakdowns and flights of fancy. ...

A Unifying Cause...

Every generation it seems, is at one point or another swept up in a unifying cause, indiscriminate of race, creed, or sexual orientation. The cause of your mothers, fathers, or grandparents was proba...
