I believe in responsible care taking of ALL animals. With a little effort from everyone (LOW COST SPAY AND NEUTER) we can lower dog and cat overpopulation in shelters and in turn reduce the number of healthy animals that are euthanized each year (3-4 million dogs and cats are euthanized in shelters each year). In 7 years one female cat and her offspring can produce up to 420,000 kittens. In 6 years one female dog and her offspring can produce up to 67,00 puppies. Many cities offer low cost spay and neuter. Check your local humane organization for information on opportunities near you and please take a moment to educate yourself or someone else on all matters of animal rights and welfare. Like children, animals have no voice. They must rely on us, their human companions, to speak for them.
