ANTHEA

The death/thrash metal band Anthea was formed in Paris in early 2000. The band, Steph and Phil ( guitars ) Logan ( ex CHRISTALYS bass guitar ) Cyril ( vocals ) Luis ( ARKHESIA, AELKAN, ex STRETCHER drums ) improved itself by playing cover songs but soon after started to compose. In spite of several changes in the line-up, Anthea forged its own identity and now plays a melodic and powerful music quite influenced by the Swedish metal scene. The members of ANTHEA record their first 5 tracks demo, PHALANX OF MIND in 2002 .During 2004 Anthea composed more and more mature songs and lyrics forging its own sound and style. The band decided to record its second demo with the help of professionals for the recording and mixing process and talented graphist to create the lay out according to the band s wishes. Insight is released in Febuary 2005.Through the years the band has played around 30 gigs with bands such as : DESTINITY, OTARGOS, SCARVE, NO RETURN, THE OLD DEAD TREE, YYRKOON, LYZANXIA, FATE, OBDURATED, DAYS OF DECLINE, PITBULLS IN THE NURSERY, KAIZEN, TOWARDS END RAPTURE ... .......
