CHLOE LEIGHTON EPK 2007Chloe Leighton is a rising singer/songwriter/pianist who is attracting the attention of top record labels and producers in the U.S. music industry. She was born in Sydney, Australia, and she has lived in Paris and Seattle. She also sings/writes in French. Chloe has recently moved to Los Angeles and signed a music publishing deal with HoriPro.Chloe's interest in music began as early as age 3, when she used to sing into the barrel of her front-loading washing machine for hours on end. Later, her father would take her to the piano bars in Paris to sing duets. She started piano lessons at age 6, guitar when she was 14, cello at 17 and has been composing tunes as long as she can remember.At 19, she attended the University of Sydney, College of the Arts, where she studied film, music videos and wrote scores for short films.Today, at age 22, Chloe has written as many songs as her years and spends her time writing, recording and performing locally. She is influenced by artists such as: Norah Jones, Elton John, Tori Amos, John Legend, Joss Stone, Gavin DeGraw and Billie Holiday.Her sound has been described as soulful and unique.
