Betty Vale

BETTY VALE is blessed with a natural and distinctive singing voice.
Born and bred in Sydney, Betty was fortunate enough to grow up in a family full of musicians and singers. Influenced from a very early age by artists across all genres; her musical inspiration is broad and ranges from soul and disco through to pop, rock and jazz.
Performing from the early age of 9 Betty competed as a teenager in Jazz Ballet, Funk, Hip Hop and Latin Ballroom competitions. In 1994, whilst fronting the school jazz band, she took out the number 1 prize in the Battle of the Bands. At the age of 15 she decided to seriously pursue her music career and started writing her own material. At 19 she recorded for the very first time and started performing in night clubs across the country.
During that time she met producer/songwriter Mike Wells (Hi Fi Mike) whose critically acclaimed debut album features vocals by iOTA (Hedwig and the Angry Inch), Connie Mitchell (Sneaky Sound System), Steve Kilbey (The Church) & Inga Liljestrom (Elk). Mike was so impressed with Betty he invited her to record the vocals for, what has since become; the internationally acclaimed 1 Aria Dance hit ‘Stereo Flavas.’ Within three months the track sparked major interest around the world receiving airplay in clubs from Puerto Rico and Denmark to New York.
Betty’s voice had become a global sound.
“She just can’t switch it off, every conversation leads back to something musical; that and a certain ‘tone’ her voice carries. There is a sound to her vocal that must have a little DNA tag in it, it’s instantly recognisable, it’s the ‘Betty Vale’ sound.” says Mike.
Betty’s debut single JUMP ON BOARD is the first single from her forthcoming album. Co-written with Hi Fi Mike it brings with it all the hallmarks of an international smash! Betty’s vocal cruises effortlessly among the big beats and jazzy undertones to produce a distinct contemporary sound delivering an extremely catchy radio hit!
