I'm a man of many interests and talents, music being the largest of these. But I also take pride in my knowledge of woodworking, theatre, cars, trucks, world history, human nature and science. I think that ignorance, laziness and apathy are the cancers that are slowly killing America. And these cancers are being enforced by the bullshit excuse-of-a-media, and the pathetic "leaders"we have in office . They all want nothing more than to take your money. You know they do...
Bruce Cambell, Bruce Dickinson, Rob Halford, "Dimebag" Darrell Abbot (R.I.P.),Ossian Everett Mills, Percy Jewett Burrell, Ralph Howard Pendleton, Frank Leslie Stone, Maddox, Jesus Christ, George Washington, Bob Chandler of BIGFOOT 4x4, Bruce Lee,Ingrid Newkirk (so I could smack the living hell out of her.), and maybe even John Wayne....And any of you fine ladies looking to waste some time with a musician ;).i I was in this! look for the "co$: xenu< cthulu" sign. And here's why...More...MY FRAT! ALL HAIL!!
First and foremost, let me say that I listen to music that actually requires some skill. That being said, let me also declare that if something's on the top 40 list or TRL that week, I probably will hate it. And before you come and rave about how deep and emotional (insert bullshit eyeliner-wearing band's name here)'s new album is or how some manufactured, flavor-of-the-week pop star who can't sing above an octive "relates to you", let me say for the record that there are unsigned and underground bands that can chew them up and spit them back out. But specificly what music do I listen to? I'm all about the metal. All kinds of it. But that's not all I listen to. Any classic rock, blues, pretty much anything with good guitar work and originality to it. Jazz, classical (especially Beethoven and Tchaicovski etc.) are also good. I'm a HUGE Johnny Cash fan, but I can't stand any of the no-balls country that's out today. I've also recently gotten into industrial (Skinny Puppy, Throbbing Gristle, Die Krups, etc.) and some technofunk/dj team stuff (Justice, LudaChrist, Flosstradamus, Chromeo, etc.) I'll even listen to rap as long as it's good rap.
I'm of three completely different schools of thought as far as movies go. I like big, epic spectacles of film-making majesty (Lord of the Rings, Return of the Jedi, Superman Returns, Saving Private Ryan, etc.) I like movies where people/cars/ robots/buildings/whaterver else gets FUBAR'd into oblivion (300, Transformers, etc.) But I also like movies that are so Hi-lariously bad that you can't help but marvel at their terribil-ity (Superman 4, Shark Attack 3, Plan 9 From Outer Space, etc.)
Don't watch much. Anything not on the History Channel or Comedy Central stands a 75-90% chance of being crap.
I read books with substance. Such as... Les Miserables, The Elephant Man, The Fountainhead, Farenheit 451, If Chins Could Kill, Encyclopedias- doesn't matter what kind, The Art of War, The Alphabet of Manliness, KISS:Behind The Mask (official biography) magazines on video games and cars and any other manly stuff. When I say books with substance, I mean with alot of pages.
At the top I would have to put my friend Amy Zwarych. I knew her for 5 years. She suffered from a rare type of Muscular Dystrophy. She went through unspeakale amounts of chemo and research but through it all remained faithful and optomistic. She never found that cure and passed away peacefully last year. I wish that I could have that kind of courage that she had. Other than her, I would put my homie Raiu, Ossian Everett Mills, Aaron Rawlston(the guy who cut off his own arm), Captain Sigurdur "Iceman" Petursson (captured and killed a shark with his BARE HANDS!) Takeru Kobayashi,Optimus Prime, my friend Robert Bissel (FBI agent) and my dad for having to put up with my evil mother. Now, here's some videos I am forcing you to watch:glumbert - The world's highest pitched man
