Thanks for visiting this page! My name is Jason and i play guitar, acoustic and electric, sing, and write little songs. I used to have a band called Mother's Favorite Sons and we were pretty cool. There's a couple tunes in the player you can hear. Since then i've made a folky acoustic record, it was all recorded live with just me playing and singing and it's available all over the place, there's a couple of those tunes as well in the aforementioned player. The gig schedule to the right shows where i'll be playing music, though it doesn't necessarily mean i will be playing my music. I do acoustic solo gigs as "entertainment" in restaurants and stuff where i do alot of music by other people and sometimes break into my own schtick. The band gigs i have listed is where i play electric guitar and become part of what is commonly referred to as a "cover band". These gigs are fun and i get to rock, plus get paid, what is commonly referred to as a win-win. Just like buying my CD is a win-win.... I get to feel like an artist and make a couple bucks, and you get to critique me one way or another. You know you want to critique me, what's stopping you? I also just want to say that i take alot of shit for including my middle name on this page, my website, my CD, gigs, etc. If you make fun of my name it proves you only see the obvious and cynical humor in things, are very shallow and uninteresting, and barely worthy of the space you occupy. My middle name is there because the domain name "Jason Foster" was already taken when i started my website and the guy who ran it was not me, but he also played guitar and was selling his music. The sophisticated person now understands my reasoning and there is no need to further this explanation.
You can buy my acoustic album Live in apt. 12 at CDbaby.com. It's available as an actual CD with an actual cover that will be mailed to you, or you can download the MP3 album. This download is better than iTunes (but you can still get me on iTunes if you like) as the quality is slightly higher and the tracks are DRM free. Click here to do that... DOWNLOAD CD

Live in apt. 12 reviews from CDbaby.com......

Worth every penny! author: Jody SvendsenLove, Love, LOVE it!! I can't believe I only paid 5.99 for this CD. It hasn't left my CD player in the house and is on my Ipod for my car. I feel like I should of paid more it's SOO worth it! Great work. storytelling perfection author: Gina A.Raw, honest vocals, guitar hero-worthy strumming, provocative lyrics, and in Mother, an anthem all singer-songwriters should aspire to. All I can is AMazing. author: Gina Di BellaAmazing. I listened to this many times already and I have yet to tire of it. THe lyrics, the vocals, everything you could want in a great CD is packed into this wonderful package. A must buy! Check it out! Fantastic author: John HoskinsonI have had this CD for about 2 weeks and I've already listened to it about 30 times. It's the type of album you rarely hear anyone do anymore. And it's even rarer to hear it done so well. I love the songwriting but its the performances of the songs that really stand out. There are some really trascendent vocal parts and the guitar playing is masterful. He goes from really beating the hell out of his guitar in one passage to doing some really soft and sublime picking in the next and it all sounds so natural.
