About Me

I'm a Newcastle based, native Geordie actress. My interest in drama grew after I did a school play called “Sir Spence and a Dragon called Horace” at the tender age of 8 yrs old. I was then encouraged by my teacher Mrs young to join a local Stage school that was opening at the New Tyne Theatre, which I did and the rest is history as they say!
I has always felt that my time spent at the New Tyne Theatre was invaluable, learning new skills and having the opportunity to use them on the big stage. Having tread the boards there for over a decade I have performed in many musical classics including, playing the title role in Annie, roles in Bugsy Malone, Smike, Little shop of horrors, Seven brides for seven brothers, A little Night Music, and Gypsy, to name a few! But during my time there I also had my first taste of television work playing a coalminers daughter in “funny Man” in scenes that were filmed at the New Tyne theatre. I then went on to play characters in Tyne Tees Television’s, children’s tea time show Dramarama playing Big Julie in the story “Venchie” with Mike Grady and playing a singer in the story “The Audition” with Sheila Hancock.
After leaving Walker Comprehensive School, I then went onto Newcastle College to study drama on the B-Tec performing arts course, using this time to further develop my skills.
It was a year after leaving college when I was discovered by Live Theatre Company’s artistic director Max Roberts, and was cast as Sharon Robson in the critically acclaimed Rod Wooden play “Your Home in the West” giving me my first professional role alongside other Geordie favourites like Robson Green, Charlie Hardwick, Joe Caffrey, Trevor Fox, and many others. Since then I have worked continuously over the years in Films, Television, Theatre, and Radio, including playing “Jill” alongside comedian Frank Skinner, and actors Charlie Hardwick and Joe Caffrey in the west end production of “Cooking with Elvis”, Joyce Watkins in Granada’s “Cracker” with Robbie Coltrain and Ricky Tomlinson, and I'm featured in the film “School for Seduction” playing Karen alongside Kelly Brook and Tim Healy.
