He and his family moved to Florida In the year 2003. That was his first real paying show when he opened for David Lee Murphy at the Martin County Fair. Then his dad quit his job and went to managing Tyler full time. He was playing in bars at 10 years old with a full peice band! In 2005 Charlie Daniels puts on a concert every year "Charlie Palooza". They have it at the hard rock casino in Tampa, Florida, Tyler sang at the hard rock Thursday Friday and Saturday. But Tyler Said Friday Night was the best night of his life. He sang at Floyds a bar in the Hard Rock and there he saw Montgomery Gentry, Marshall Tucker, Confederate Railroad, Trick Pony and the list goes on and on, When he got off the stage Eddy Montgomery Of Montgomery Gentry Started bowing down to him. In late 2007 He and his family moved to Nashville, Tennesse where he is singing at the World Famous Tootsies Orchid Lounge. Since there big move the have been confronted by Major Record Labels such as CURB RECORDS. Tyler is working on an original song CD and preparing a tour!

By MICHELE MILLER Published November 9, 2005-------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------NEW PORT RICHEY - Tyler Dickerson is well on his way to being more than a little bit famous, at least in these these parts.And if the 11-year-old singing sensation has anything to do with it, this is just the beginning."I want to be the next Toby Keith," said Tyler, sporting metal braces on his wide smile.Last month, Tyler's performance at the the Orange County Blossom Country Music Association's state competition in Hernando County earned him a plaque, trophy and the honor of being named the Florida Male Vocalist and Male Entertainer of the Year for the 7-12 age group.Those kudos will take him and his mom, Crystal, 31, who won the female award for her age group, to the international competition set for March in Pigeon Forge, Tenn.If you didn't catch his act last month, you might have already seen the compact, cowboy-clad kid belting covers of artists such as Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings and George Jones at a flea market, county festivals or one of the local pubs that feature country music.Last weekend, in fact, Tyler was booked to open for the Silver Eagle Band at the Flapjack Festival in Land O'Lakes. Tonight you can catch him at Hunter's Pub in New Port Richey.Or you can mark the calendar for January where, if things go according to plan, Tyler will be singing at a concert in Hudson.There he will be the front man for his new band, The Inner Thoughts and with a lineup that includes Trick Pony and The Marshall Tucker Band, said Inner Thoughts band member Ray Carpenter.It's been a whirlwind for Tyler ever since he took the stage and evidently, the hearts of the crowd at last year's Martin County Fair. That's when his dad, Steven Dickerson, first caught a glimpse of his son's effect on an audience."It was something. They just couldn't get enough of Tyler," said Dickerson, 32, who now serves as his son's manager. "Once we saw the crowd and how they took to Tyler, we knew we had something.""He has a real command of the audience. He's a real professional," said Inner Thoughts band member Mark Burgess."The bigger the crowd the better Tyler does," said Tyler's grandmother, Carolyn Lambert. Lambert said she saw a rising star in her grandson when he was about 3 and played a church mouse with a long tail in a church play."He was going off stage and the music had a beat," she said. "Tyler just grabbed that tail and started swinging."His dad said it started right about when Tyler was 5 when the Dickerson family was living on about 6 acres in Columbia, Miss. Back then Friday nights were spent sitting around a bonfire on the Dickerson's front lawn. If locals saw the bonfire, Dickerson said, "That meant, "Come on over."One thing led to another and pretty soon someone fetched a guitar from their car."We'd be singing, picking, talking, this and that," Dickerson said. "It just got bigger and bigger and bigger."And young Tyler, well, he took to singing.Lately, things have just exploded," Tyler's dad said.So much so that Tyler recently withdrew from Gulf Middle School to be homeschooled. That way he can concentrate more on his career and a future that could have him traveling.Tyler's self-recorded CD recently warranted enough attention from some folks in Nashville to land him a gig at a recording studio there and another this weekend at the world famous Tootsies Orchid Lounge. That's the place where some famous customers such as Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Patsy Kline and Waylon Jennings used to hang out and write songs.It's sure to be exciting, but Tyler says he's not at all nervous."I never am," he said with a grin."We'll just see how he does with that," Tyler's dad said. "But I have a feeling something's going to happen real soon."
