"I always will be because I always was".......Think about that. What does that mean? What's your interpetation of it's meaning? Do you think that your interpetation of the phrase fits you? If so why? and if not, why?...........I'm a very intelligent person. I smoke on occasion and I drink on occasion. I love children and i want a female to birth me 4 children someday. I'm a easy going person. I'm a very laid back person. I don't like to argue and sometimes I can be too passive................People tell me how "cool" I am but I really don't understand what they're talking about. I guess the reason I don't understand where they're coming from when they make that remark is because to me I haven't changed that much over the years and when I was younger people never told me that i was "cool". When I was younger I used to be real insecure about myself. Over the years I've lost those insecurities but I've always had the demeanor that I have now. Sure I've matured over the years but once again, I still have the same deamnor that i had when i was less mature.........In order to grow we've got to learn to let go....... I'm a people(s) person. I love people. I'm the Peoples Champ. Did you hear me? I said that I'm the Peoples Champ. I'm a lover of people and people are a lover of me. I show the people love and the people show me love in return. I love to interact with people, be it white or black. Naturally I have an affinity for those who look like me. Is something wrong with me for feeling the way i do? No. It's only natural that we feel more comfortable around our own kind. But at the same time, I don't discriminate based on skin color who it is that I choose to be civil with. I love all of humanity because we are all that we have. The point is that all of us are brothers and sisters of the human race. I consider myself a humanitarian because of my love for the people. My heart is with the proletariat..........Now with all of that being said my focus is at all times on people that look like myself. My focus is always on Black people. Why?, because we are some of the most assed-backwards people that walk the earth. Our Children don't have a sense of direction because there's no one really leading them. All children are impressionable and the things that are making impressions upon them are leading them towards the grave. The blind are leading/following the blind and if we don't open our eyes everybody's going to fall in the ditch....One word: BET. That's right! Black Entertainment Television. I need to say no more. Yeah, yeah, I know that a childs parents should make more of an impression on them than what they see on tv but you and I know that it doesn't go down like that......Things would get better for us if more of us had KNOWLEDGE OF SELF. I put KNOWLEDGE OF SELF in big ass letters because having KNOWLEDGE OF SELF is the key. But BET may not be the peoblem. The people who're running all of the major music labels might actually be the problem. Why? Because these are the people who will ultimately decide which music projects get pushed to the public. They back certain projects harder than they do other projects based on what they consider to be marketable. What they don't seem to understand is there's a market for everything......The people in the streets don't have as much control becasue we don't decide what songs are played on the radio. The music industry is full of a lot of bullshit right now. Our people(Black people) have always carried our struggle in our music and our music also describes our current position as a collective group of people in this labyrinth called life. But a lot of commerical rap is a facade and it really ain't telling the truth........I really can't stand that bling-bling rap because your average black person doesn't have it like that. Now ain't nothing wrong with a diamond here or a diamond there, keep it simple. And another thing that's getting a lot of air time is all these cats rapping about how much dope they've sold. That shit's so foul. Most of the cats that rap about that are lying. But what's really destructive about that style of rap is that it corrupts the youth. The dope game ain't really nothing to want to rap about anyway. The dope game is full of a bunch of chicken-shit-money-hungry-muthafuckas. The dope game is full of people who will sell you out in a minute. Basically the dope game is full of cats that aren't stand up guys. Liars, cheaters, turncoats, stool pigeons, murderers, all those type of people come with the dope game. In order for our children to suceed they don't need to be associated with people who have those triats. There are very few people in the dope game who still have a high amount of integrity about themselves.......SOME SAY HIP HOP IS DEAD. HIP HOP THE MUSIC IS STILL GOING STRONG; BUT THE SPIRIT OF HIP HOP IS DAMN NEAR DEAD BECAUSE THE PEOPLE(you and I) NO LONGER CONTROL IT. THE SPIRIT OF HIP HOP IS ON LIFE SUPPORT BECAUSE IT'S NOW OWNED AND CONTROLLED BY BIG CORPORATE COMPANIES WHO DICTATE WHAT VIDEOS COME ON T.V. AND WHAT SONGS ARE PLAYED ON THE RADIOWhat our young people see....What out young people hear...What our young people think...Is what our young people will become.
