PERSONNEL CHANGE!
Unfortunately, Claire our keyboardist has decided to leave for pastures new. We wish her every success in her future ventures. More fortunately, the fantastic Vanessa has agreed to take her place. Welcome aboard!

MUSIC VIDEO! That's right, Doghouse have joined the MTV age and made a music video. Our very own Mike Hutchinson filmed the damn thing and edited it together, and mighty fine it is too.
Here it is:

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: thumpermonkey.com/forum
Band Members: J Riley:
Bacchanite, penetrating, peculiar. This fine specimen bellows, moans and bashes his guitar.

"Stereo" Mike Hutchinson:
Fruity, fun-filled and furiously beating the Bass.

Gareth Thomas:
Manly, libidinous. This Myleene Klass lookalike bangs the drums.

"Professor" Vanessa Hawes:
Multi-talented, precise and hillarious. Plays Keyboards, with occasional multi-instrumental flourishes.

Mike "Woody" Woodman:
Legendary shaman, charismatic charlatan, singing postman. He plays lots more guitar. Plus audio jiggery-pokery.

Influences: The manic energy, raw sound and melody of The Pixies.

The eclecticism and humour of Frank Zappa, 10cc and No Smoking Orchestra.

The libidinous garage rock swagger of Iggy Pop and Alice Cooper.

The pop sensibilities and guitar heroics of Extreme.

The dark sonic landscapes of unlikely bedfellows Joy Division, mid period PJ Harvey and Pink Floyd.

The raw emotion and bedroom aesthetics of "outsider musicians" like The Shaggs, R. Stevie Moore and Wild Man Fischer.
Sounds Like:

Record Label: Unsigned - at the moment
Type of Label: None

Sheila's Wheels

That's right folks, we are doing a cover version of the song from the Sheila's Wheels advert. We're hoping to get Phil Daniels to do a cockney rap in the middle.

Incorrect Lyrics Archive

"Question: Tell me what you think about me, I buy my own diamonds and I buy my own rings." That's not a question, it's more like an order, or a command. Am I the only person who is bothered by this? I...

Godley and Creme

I heartily recommend listening to Godley and Creme. They are really fantastic. We here at DHRB headquarters believe they are so great that they need an alcoholic drink named after them. It needs to be...

Syd Barrett's House

Killing time before work, I decided to go and find Barrett's house in South Kensington. He lived at 101 Cromwell Road, South Kensington, during the height of his Pink Floyd fame, but it now appears to...
