About Me

Sadly Stephanie, we did not move to Vegas to live in Circus Circus. It was a nice dream, but my parents said no.
Hello everyone out there in outer MySpace. What can I say about myself? Let's start with the fact that I've lived out here in Vegas since the age of nine when my parents dragged me kicking and screaming to the beautiful city of lights. Beautiful is a term I'd use loosely, but loose is a term I'd use widely to describe just about everything out here except for the slots. Yes, old Lady Luck is more of a mirage, but don't let me stop you from seeking her out.
Well, back to my roots - I thought they were firmly planted in San Luis Obispo, California. But sand I suppose makes for lousy soil. Much like the little sand crabs we used to dig up as children safely from their sanctuaries below, I was easily scooped up and replanted, forced to sacrifice my beach bound ways to the desert. I guess what goes around comes around.
But I consider myself verily well adjusted, as well adjusted as any child raised against flashing neon sexual innuendos. Vegas has grown on me though. I suppose you figured since I'm 10 years legal and still here. Where else am I going to find a good steak at 3 am? I mean we're heading out to hit up the after-hours scene when you're hearing "Last Call!" - LOL! Well, who knows if I'll be here forever? One never knows where the road will lead. But I'll always keep a home in Vegas, and Vegas will always feel like home - ;)
Anyway, I'm always looking for new friends, so drop me a line - especially if you're someone long-lost. I'm sure I've lost touch with many. Until then...

My Interests

Let's see...old tattered books, bright blue pens, caffeine, Parisian covered journals that tempt my mind to swim, coffee house chatter, the sound of my own voice bouncing off walls, jazz, quiet night, city streets, open windows - the scene behind the screen, eavesdropped conversations, growing assumptions, random musings, singing, dreaming, gravity for obvious reasons, breathing consciously, the transcendentalists - oh...and Anne Shirley.

Major areas of interests: writing teenage fiction novels & poetry, singing & lyrical songwriting, reading, philosophizing, & politicizing.

This is for my very best friend when I was 6. Thanks to Myspace, we’ve found each other again :)

We were so cute Nicole, and so completely dorky in our huge glasses. But we’re much cooler now ;)

I listen to all different styles really - some hip-hop, R&B & House too.... And I'm totally in love with the music scores written for the Clorox Bleach commercials composed by Amber Music. Actually most of the music I've found lately has come straight out of TV commercials or within the television shows themselves. I'd list a few more TV ads with fabulous music, but I don't want to look like too much of a dork. Shoot me an email if you want to know ;)

Heroes:

Anne Shirley (of Green Gables) - fictional as she may be - has been a best friend throughout my life. And I owe a huge part of who I am now to our introduction in childhood.

My mom, my very best friend and the strongest person I know - is my real life hero and inspiration.

But all of our brave soldiers who have pledged to protect the freedom we enjoy in America today are the real heroes. We are truly blessed by your service.

Here's my mom when she was my age.
Here are my mom and dad now. Yep - they're one of those rare couples who stayed together ;)
And here are my twin sisters when they were little. Now they have kids this age - two each!
And here's my brother. He's a year older than me.
What a Geeky Child!!!
Geek Anymore? I'll leave it up to You:)

Until then...
