Lost Of Love formed in the early part of the 21st century. The founding members of this group James O'brien, Edward Guglielmino, and Jackie Marshall have helped to redefine music for the 21st century.
Love of Love is responsible for starting the post-constructed musical era called free-gard music.
Free-gardism is free improvised avant-garde music, similar to the modern jazz of the early sixties. The clear distinction, however, between free-gardism and free- jazz is that free-gardism skips between musician genres.
O'briens' other project "the boat people" is a modern pop-band, Marshall and Guglielmino both visual/musicial solo artists and are well established in the industry. Obrien was educated in Jazz at the conservatorial of Music in Brisbane, as was Mashall. Guglielmino on the other hand was educated in Film, Sound, and Fine Art at the Queens-land University of Technology. All the artists within Lost Of Love had played nationally, and internationally.
Lost of Love has played at première venues including The Troubadour, The Zoo, and RIcs Bar. At this point in time Lost of Loves line up includes Matthew Harrison for percussion, and Chris Brady for guitar noises, and sonic scape's. When available Robin Waters also provides sonic texture though keyboard.
The recent addition of Angie Gadd (Redbreast) and Mick Elliott (Mexico City) allows the term superband to be used for this act. Furthermore, the recent annoucement placing Brisbane in the top music cities of the world, makes Lost of Love one of the worlds best bands.
Once seen, everyone states, that "this is the best band in Brisbane" or they may state something else, but the chorus of cheers, and the increadble music drowns out the useless criticisms.
