About Me

Stolen Brown Evergreen is the name of David Keesey's ongoing recording project. I have been involved in the New York Music scene since the late 90's when I moved there from Columbus Ohio. I have played electric guitar (and sometimes bass) for many projects over the years- here are the ones that actually have names: Arkam, Illinois Payson, The Seth Nadel Band, L.S.D., The Deborah T Band, Frantic Turtle, Nehedar, Chopped Liver, Higgins, The Tuesday, and The Certified Dream Interpreters. Two years ago I bought a 4-track and started recording. The project was named Stolen Brown Evergreen. I have a uniquely raw, yet melodic, and jaggedly rythmic guitar style drawing from such influences as Neil Young, Kurt Cobain, J Mascis, Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, and many others. The 4-track recordings tell one part of the story. The live performances tell a different part of the story. For booking and studio work, you can contact me through this Myspace page.
