His Grandfathers , Mother and Father were musicians . He started playing music in the jazz & soul basements when he was thirteen . At the age of twenty , after a few years of playing and singing in bars , he moved to Los Angeles where he started by playing the drums at the black gospel church of Los Angeles . Artep worked extensively as , producer , composer , multi-instrumentalist performer and collaborated with Ya Basta (Gotan Project) , Lhasa , Zuco 103 , Dupain , the Belmondo Brothers , Georgette Dee , Zimpala , Mark Turner.. When the strain of recording and playing in the music industry threatened to overwhelm him , he knew he needed a break . His escape route was waiting . He joined a contemporary circus "Cirque" and went for a four years world tour where he could live something else and experiment a minimalist formula , mixing contemporary instruments , the body and space . Back to France and feeling refreshed , he felt it was time for him to give his soul and experience to his own project . Artep began to hone the ideas he had gathered on the road and write songs about love , rhythm and movement .These are the songs of Artep Live .Quickpost this image to Myspace, Digg, Facebook, and others!
