Who am I? A question that few can answer with certainty and authenticity. A question that has perplexed each individual since their conception. I am a man, that i can say with utmost certainty, but what makes me a man? Does the definition of manhood stem only from one's anatomical parts? Certainly, that classifies gender; however, a man or a woman for that matter, cannot be defined in the mere confines of gender and anatomy. Is a man defined by what he believes in: his hopes, dreams, goals? Certainly an individual's aspirations can be used to partially discover who they are, but what if those goals aren't achieved, then can he realy be defined by them, or is he defined by the journey? Truly, I am a man who is partaking in this journey; the same journey that men and women embark on beginning at birth, to seek out their reason for existence, and how our existence can impact the lives of those around us. To love and be loved; to hope and see that hope come into fruition; to build up and to destroy. To construct walls only to have them torn down. Please tear down my fortress, because I want to burn your walls to ashes.
