Three Times Denied

Band Members: As of right now, it's just Walt. Walt on guitar. Walt on bass. Walt on back up vocals. Walt programming the drums. And Walt not having enough time to record anything new. But this should kick me into gear to put something new on here.
Influences: It all started with Van Halen. Then it grew to include The Beatles, Randy Rhoads, Ratt and various 80's hair bands. Mark Hafer of then Street Talk was a big influence, in fact more than he will ever know. Big influences now are Dream Theater, King's X, Extreme, Yes and Spock's Beard. And while were at it, Pink Floyd, various jazz musicians and classical composers (most have since past away. Funny how that is with classical music.) And I owe a lot of my writing to Dan Stecher, who mentioned myself in his influences (thanks, Dan). Dan and I, along with Scott Augustin, were in a group called Get Serious in Philadelphia. Dan has sung on some of my tunes, and I've been on three of his CD's on various instruments. I miss being able to write and play him. We had a good thing going, but things happen to bands....thats just the way it is.
Sounds Like: I've been told that my stuff leans towards a meshing of Dream Theater, King's X and Extreme. But I've also written Jazz tunes, classical pieces and even an Irish drinkin' song. But the heavier sound is where my passion lies. And if I get compared to the first three in this list, I consider it a compliment.
