About Me

A LITTLE HISTORY:
Struwwelpeter, whose name was taken from a book of old German fairytales, was originally formed in 2003 from the remnants of the dissipated bootlegging scene 'The Treatment' in Cheltenham and Bristol. The first Struwwelpeter CD "You're All So Precious" combined the talents of resident loopmeisters Peter Philips and Alison Eire, along with John Harris throwing guitar samples into the mix. The album was produced and fronted by Ben Mitchell, who adopted the moniker Struwwelpeter for his two subsequent albums "Rapeseed" (2004) and "Agnosticaust" (2006). A more detailed biography can be found at the Struwwelpeter website .
