About Me

I was born.I do great things.
I ain't dead yet.
No, Seriously...
Pleasant Bud – In My Own Words

Born in downtown Jersey City, New Jersey, moved to Brookings, South Dakota. Was influenced by the mid 50's local radio shows that included the sounds of Country, Rockabilly and early Rock 'n' Roll.
When I saw The Beatles I knew that I'd found my place.
Played my first gig at a church social at the age of 13. The band made $8.00... I was hooked! Played my first bar in Hoboken that year and went on to do clubs, concerts and recording sessions for the next 17 years.
Landed a part time job in a New York rehearsal facility, finding that I had an affinity for mixing live sound and stage managing. I was able to work for most of the big New York and European bands during the 80's, learning a lot about music and technoiding from some of the best in the business at that time.
Got more & more technical during this time, moving away from playing and leaning toward a supporting role. This led to exploring the science and business of audio, sound reinforcement and then to AV distribution. Progressed in that business until I once again picked up my guitar, remembering what I was put on earth to do.
I am very grateful to everyone for the education I received. I'm sure that it has helped me with both the creative process and the technical side of making music.
Here we go again...

You got it tough...Sure

OK. Like my friend Monty says, "I've made tens of dollars in this business". So why do I do it? If I didn't, I wouldn't have stories to tell like my 1971 gig in Santa Barbara with the John Booth Band....
